What is a Grab-Bag?
They are “Super First Aid” kits, or put another way, vital bridging tools between those who are seriously injured in an incident and the arrival of the emergency services. The orange and black versions are portable emergency First Aid equipment packs, the orange one being highly visible. The black version is mainly used by police and security forces.
The yellow version is a Business Continuity pack.
What does a Grab-Bag® contain and who determines its contents?
All orange and black Grab-Bags contain essential life saving equipment, but we collaborate with you to determine exact contents by taking into consideration factors such as: environment – risk – training – budget. We apply the same principle to our yellow Business Continuity Grab-Bags.
Tell me about the design.
When it comes to saving lives we cannot afford to waste precious time hunting through draws and cupboards looking for that old fashioned little green box. So firstly, the Grab-Bag® is designed to be highly visible, it can be hung on a wall or placed in a prominent position so it can taken to where it’s needed with ease. Secondly, because we have first hand experience of extreme situations, the inside of most Grab-Bags are modular. This enables bandages – plasters – burns gels – etc, to be stored in their own compartment – thereby making it easier to find exactly what you need when the pressure is on.
Do they come in different sizes?
Yes! We provide a range of sizes from small personal First Aid packs and rucksacks to our advanced version which can contain an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) or a lightweight telemedicine machine, proven life saving devices in many different situations.
Which Grab-Bag® is best for me?
It really depends what you do, where you are and a range of other factors. If you want them for personal use then perhaps a rucksack and a small First Aid pack would suit you. If it’s for business or other purposes then perhaps a combination of Grab-Bags is the best option. We do not presuppose anything and this is another reason why we really don’t like little green boxes.
Where should I locate my Grab-Bags?
We recommend you start by asking yourself where your First Aid equipment is located at this very moment. If you can see and get to it within 30 seconds, then this is where your Grab-Bag® should be, if can’t, then you have your answer.
